New chip for medical applications: implantable neuro-stimulation device

Recently NTLab in collaboration with innovative investment company Rainbow Medical and particularly its representative Blue Wind Medical started a new breakthrough project. NTLab was chosen due to its experience in RFID chip design, proven by the portfolio which includes:

-          ISO 14443 A/B (international standard for wireless data transmission) compatible chips

-          NFC (Near-Field Communication) compatible chips

-          EPCglobal Gen.2 v.2 compatible chips

Using NTLab experience in RFID and power-from-the-field techniques, Blue Wind medical is developing a novel wireless neuro-stimulation device for the treatment of peripheral neuropathic pain (PNP).

Peripheral nerve stimulation is typically used to treat intractable chronic pain in cases in which drugs are ineffective or side effects intolerable, an option for some patients may be use of an implanted neuro-stimulation device to interrupt pain signals in the painful area.

NTLab is proud to be involved in a project that helps people to overcome PNP. By the end of 2016 companies plan to start new chip production.
